Kampala — Ugandan speed merchants Emma Katto (R), Jas Mangat and Riyaz Kurji have all registered for the KCB Safari Rally 2008. The event is the third leg of the Africa Rally Championship (ARC) calendar.

The two rivals are among the 53 drivers including 12 foreigners to grace the event scheduled for June 27-29 in Kenya. Katto and Kurji were the pacesetters during the KCB Pearl of Africa Rally in April, but dropped out of the event due to mechanical problems in the same section.

EMKA will unleash his state-of-art Subaru Impreza N14, model 2007, while Kurji and Mangat will both race in Subaru Impreza N10s.

Other foreign drivers expected include ARC leader Muna Singh (Zambia), Hideaki Miyoshi (Japan), Jamie Whyte (Zimbabwe), Jon Williams (SA) and the Verlaque sisters (Rally Chicks) from South Africa.
