Eritrea: Prayers Conducted in Memory of Martyrs

Asmara — Prayers in memory of fallen heroes who sacrificed their previous lives in ensuring independence and safeguarding the nation's sovereignty were today conducted at the St. Michael Church and the Al-Kulafa Al-Rashideen Mosque here in the capital.

In the prayers at the St. Michael Church, His Holiness Abune Dioskoros, 4th Patriarch of the Eritrean Orthodox Tewahdo Church, religious leaders of the Catholic and the Evangelical Lutheran Churches took part. Speaking on the occasion, Megabi Mistir Mebrahtu Mobae pointed out that Martyrs Day reminds us all to renew our pledge to honor the trust of martyrs towards building a strong and prosperous nation.
