In connection with the ongoing investigation into the activities of the defunct Police Equipment Fund, PEF, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has issued a 7-day ultimatum to individuals who received vehicles and money from the foundation to return same.

EFCC head of media and publicity, Mr. Femi Babafemi in a press statement yesterday said the Chairman of the Commission, Mrs Farida Waziri issued the ultimatum while being briefed by the agency's Director of Operations, Mr Tunde Ogunsakin on the progress made so far in the on-going investigation.

According to the statement, failure on the part of those who got vehicles and money from PEF to return same would result in their arrest and prosecution by the EFCC.

Already, the ongoing investigation has started yielding dividend as the commission has recovered at least 5 different vehicles from some of the suspects. This includes a Land Cruiser Jeep, BMW and Toyota brand of cars.
