Luanda — The International Mining Fair of Angola (FIMA), an event that was officially opened last Wednesday here will closes this Sunday with a gala to auction a diamond whose funds will be attributed to solidarity causes.
According to the organising body, the auction will fetch over USD 100,000, so as to beat the record of the previous edition, held in 2006, with about 130 firms of the mining sector.
FIMA is an event organised by the National Diamond Company of Angola (ENDIAMA E.P), Ministry of Geology and Mines and the Luanda International Fair (FIL).
The event aimed at promoting the potential of Angolan mining industries and warning firms on the cares to be taken in the implementation of their activities, taking into account the environmental balance.
