Massawa — The visiting delegation from the Italian region of Marche conducted a tour in the Northern Red Sea region from June 18 to 20.

During its stay in the port city of Massawa, the delegation held talks with the regional Administrator, Mr. Osman Mohammed Omar, on bilateral cooperation between both regions.

The head of the delegation, Mr. Julio Silenzi, and the Administrator of the Northern Red Sea region expressed desire to work for expanding and effectively implementing bilateral cooperation programs.

The delegation observed the condition of farms, health and education in the administrative areas of Buya and Engel, in addition to visiting Desse Island and historical building in Massawa.

It is to be recalled that the delegation from Marche region was received and held talks with President Isaias Afwerki on June 17.
