Fabakary Tombong Jatta, Majority leader of the National Assembly and Member for Serrekunda East, recently presented a pumping machine to the women of Alkali Kunda in Upper Baddibou, North Bank Region.

Describing the gesture as part of his contribution to national development, the Majority leader recalled that it is in line with President Jammeh's back to the land call. His intervention came barely few days after making a pledge to the Alkali Kunda women who adopted him as father .

He then added that the horticultural activity of Alkali Kunda women is hindered by inadequate water and this according to him prompted the donation.

For his part, Hon Abdoulie Suku Signhateh expressed delight at Hon. Jatta's intervention. "The pumping machine will increase horticultural activities. As such, he noted, this will in turn boost agricultural productivity.

Lamin Kebba Jammeh, National Assembly Member for Illiassa also expressed delight at the gesture. He advised the women to keep up the good work.
