President Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh, yesterday, left Banjul for Abuja, Nigeria, to attend the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Heads of State Summit.
The president, who was seen off at the airport by the vice-president and other government officials, was accompanied by a high-powered delegation.
President Jammeh will join other ECOWAS leaders to discuss pertinent issues, such as integration and development. The president is expected home on Tuesday, June 24.
