UNITED Nations (UN) Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon, has supported President Levy Mwanawasa's call to postpone the Zimbabwe presidential election run-off and pledged to work with southern Africa to resolve the impasse.
A spokesperson for the UN chief said in a statement that Mr Ki-moon had discussed Zimbabwe with various leaders, including the Southern African Development Community (SADC), for which Dr Mwanawasa is chairperson, and supported his position.
