Nigeria: Appreciate Intellectual Property, IBB Tells Nwosu's Critics

Lagos — For the first time since the controversial book on June 12, 1993 Presidential Election by former National Electoral Commission (NEC) Chairman, Prof Humphrey Nwosu, was launched, former Military President Ibrahim Babangida broke his silence yesterday maintaining that rather than crucify the author, Nigerians should appreciate intellectual property meant to enrich national history.

In a statement signed on his behalf by Prince Kassim Afegbua, Babangida also debunked rumour that he had renewed his presidential aspiration saying such insinuations were intended to cause friction between him and President Umaru Yar'Adua.
