The star-studded Palancas Negras side came under fire from the local press in Luanda as most of them described it as the worst Angolan side in over a decade.

"Frustrante!!" screamed a huge headline in the local sports magazine Journal dos Desposrtos. Stating that despite the motivation and home support, their stars had failed to come good.

In the daily - Journal de Angola, a huge headline "Nervos à flor da pele dos Palancas," meaning that the nervous Palancas Negras had failed, yet again, another test. The Sports Editor Cola Machangongo said it was one of the worst results on Angola soil in a long time.

Elsewhere, Ugandan fans have vowed to throng Entebbe Airport and give a heroic welcome to the team from Luanda.
