Africa: Riyaz to Start Third in Safari

Riyaz Kurji has been drawn to start third in the KCB Safari Rally 2008.

The event third on Africa Rally Championship (ARC) calendar will roll off on Friday with a spectators' stage at Nairobi Uhuru Park in the afternoon.

The provisional start-list has ARC leader Muna Singh of Zambia opening with Japanese Hideaki Miyoshi (Evo9) second off the ramp.

Emma Katto in Subaru N14 is set to hit the road in sixth place while Jas Mangat in Subaru N10 is 14th off the ramp. 39 drivers will contest in the three day event.

Meanwhile, the Ugandans will this morning go for recce of the 668.79km route of which 296.07km is competitive divided over 14 sections.
