Nairobi — Allegations of corruption are once again renting the air in Kenya pitting the government and long time currency manufacturer De La Rue.
Claims that the ministry of finance under the stewardship of minister Amos Kimunya were conducting under deals with the currency printing and minting firm have once again surfaced. It is alleged that the corruption deals between the two could be costing the Kenyan exchequer close to Ksh3.5 billion (US$53.8 million) every year.
