Ndola — DUNAMIS Christian Church founder Pastor, Dan Pule has accused some church members of trying to overthrow him using his former wife, Leah Mulemba.
Dr Pule refuted claims by his former wife Leah, 27, that they were still legally married.
Speaking in Lusaka yesterday at a Press briefing at Dunamis Ministries, Dr Pule said some church members who were against him had partnered with Leah to make wild allegations aimed at tarnishing his good personality.
This follows Pastor Pule's marriage to a new and third wife, Tamara Mwape, with whom he held a wedding reception at Inter-Continental Hotel in Lusaka on Friday night last week.
"Leah is not working alone to issue all those malicious statements against me in the Press. She has no right to issue false allegations against me and my wife, Tamara Mwape.
"She has gone public to tarnish my reputation because they want to destroy me so that they could assume the church leadership. As a man of God, I believe this will not take them any where," Dr Pule said.
He said there was no formal legal document that certified that he was still married to Leah because they had divorced and not married as recently claimed by Leah in the media.
Dr Pule said he divorced Leah because she was not committed to the marriage but just accepted to marry him so that she could materially benefit.
"Yes our marriage only lasted for three months before we divorced, why? because she used to be so violent to me. I remember at one time at home she attacked me brutally until I called for help.
"Within three months I bought her a car from Dubai via Internet but she kept on misbehaving by becoming unruly to me," he said.
Dr Pule said the certificate of marriage that was published in the media submitted by Leah was a forged document as he did not sign any marriage certificate with her.
He said he would not accept and support Leah's newly-born baby boy because he doubted if he had a share in her pregnancy as he had suspected there was another man responsible.
"Leah has given birth but I won't accept and support him until we go for DNA tests to prove that it was my true blood.
"If proved that I am the one, I will be so proud of my son because I am capable of taking care of him just like my other children. I am ready to go for DNA," Dr Pule said.
Asked why he decided to divorce the first wife Janet, Dr Pule said he did not divorce her. He said it was the woman who filed for divorce.
Dr Pule said he, however, accepted to continue rendering support to the four children he had with Janet.
He said currently he was enjoying the new life with Tamara who he described as a true mother who would also take church responsibilities.
Asked to comment on his church's reaction after undergoing all the marriages, Dr Pule said he had asked for forgiveness from God and the church members who also offered him words of encouragement.
He, however, called on the media to report accurately and objectively on his marriage and consult him before issuing any publication.
