The wife of the Presiding Bishop, The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM), Bishop Peace Okonkwo has said that the Federal Government's decision to resort to military intervention on the Niger Delta militancy will not bring solution to the lingering problem.

She proffered that the government should rather go on a round table conference and more especially prayers to seeking solution to the persistent agitations in the Niger/Delta.

"They should pray and then come to a round table conference and find out from the people why the agitation and then find a solution to it," she said while opening the TREM annual international women conference,' tagged "Every Woman a Minster" with the theme "The Wise Woman", Tuesday night, Guest Speakers at this year's conference include, Rev (Mrs.) Chichi Bismark, wife of Bishop Tudor Bismark, founder Jabula New Life Ministries, Harare, Zimbabwe and Founder Genet Chenier Ministries, Taxes USA, Mrs. Genet Chenier.

Speaking on the theme for this year's conference, which ends on Sunday, Mrs. Okonkwo said, "The Bible says the wise woman builds her home. You would agree with me that all over the world, homes are tearing apart, so we want to start building our homes according to God's word. "The wise woman builds her home while the foolish one tears it apart. We don't want to be foolish; we want to be among the wise women to be able to build our homes because when the home is built, the society is built."

Okonkwo stressed that since women were taking the limelight in the society today, they needed wisdom to operate in whatever position they found themselves.

She advised further that women should be given more opportunities to be part of the nation building, adding, "Because they are mothers and know how to bring up their children, they would know how to bring up the nation."
