Lubango — Nós Somos Nós (We are what we are) is the title of the fourth compact disc by the renowned Angolan singer and songwriter Filipe Mukenga, which will be released in September, this year, in Brazil and Angola, ANGOP has learnt.
The album that marks the end of his 45-year artistic career has 14 tracks sung in Portuguese and the vernacular language Kimbundu and is being edited in a studio in São Paulo, Brazil.
Filipe Mukenga said that over USD 40.000 have been invested in the production of the work, through an artistic and cultural fund for promotion and maintenance of the country's cultural values and under the aegis of the Ministry of Culture.
The Brazilian musicians Martinho da Vila, Zeca Baleira and Ivan will participate in this work, said Filipe Mukenga, who added that the lyrics tell on the culture of the Angolan people and also reflect his45 years of artistic career.
Filipe Mukenga has previously released the albums "Novo Som", "Kianda Kianda" and "Mimbo Yami".
