27 June 2008

Lagos — PRESIDENTIAL Candidate of the Advanced Democratic Congress (ADC) in the 2007 general elections, Prof. Pat Utomi called for an all inclusive politicians summit to work out solutions to the nation's problems.

He said yesterday at the launching of a quarterly publication titled, 'Progress', by the Progressive Peoples Alliance (PPA) in Abuja that the summit should encompass politicians of all shades irrespective of political affiliation to proffer a lasting solution over the problem of the nation.

The former presidential candidate revealed that Utomi on his own, he had started an extensive tour of the country to consult with stakeholders and brief them about the necessity for the summit.

According to him, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa'ad Abubakar was one of those who had already bought his idea of a better Nigeria.

He stated that "Nigeria is gifted by God in incredible ways. I mean the human resources. What needs to be done is to harness the minds of these people. Nothing can happen in Africa until we get the Nigerian project right."
