Six state governors, former President Ibrahim Babangida and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar were among personalities that graced the wedding fatiha.

The businessman gave out four daughters in marriage yesterday.

Governors Aliyu Magatakarda Wammako (Sokoto), Aliyu Shinkafi (Zamfara) and Namadi Sambo (Kaduna) personally attended the wedding ceremony while those of Bauchi, Kano and Kebbi States represented by their deputy governors.

The marriage was solemnised at the Katsina central mosque under the supervision of the chief imam of Katsina, Imam Muhammadu Lawal.

A bride price of N200,000 was reportedly paid for each of the four brides.

Governor Ibrahim Shema of Katsina, who represented President Umaru Musa Yar'adua, presented the brides to their husbands.

Others who attended the wedding include: former governor of Kano, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Senator Ibrahim Saminu Turaki and Chief Andy Uba.

Prominent businessmen like Aliko Dangote, Sama'ila Isa Funtua were present.

The daughters were married to the son of a Niger republic businessman, Umaru Gago, chairman Safana Local Government Area, Abdulkadir Zakka, Regional Manager (North) Diamond Bank, Muntari Zubairu and Kano based-businessman Gambo Salihu.
