Emmanuel Chibi popularly known as Uncle Jaunda who has been in "hibernation" since his last album - Kule Kule - will soon break the silence with his latest offering titled Uncle Says.

The artist, who rose to fame with his album Deception released in 2003, says he had been quiet because the money he earned from his debut release was not enough to sustain another musical project.

"The mistake I made with Deception is that it received airplay yet I had not made duplicates of the cassettes for sale such that the popularity I earned did not add anything to my coffers.

"However Sekuru does not want to starve his fans so I have four albums in stock but Uncle Says will be released any time soon," said the musician cum-comedian.

The new 10-track album contains tracks like "Hasha" which has a video already. The track urges people to control their anger lest they end up doing things that they would later regret. It also educates people about HIV and Aids.

Uncle Jaunda whose songs are composed by his wife Jane Tobaiwa, says he uses humour to address serious matters that affects the social fibre so as to reach out to a larger audience. He says his music transcends the age gap.

"As an uncle, I address serious matters in a light manner, it makes one reflect on their lives," said Jaunda.

Uncle Jaunda who sings with Chikumura Mabhachi Crew also revealed that he has currently joined The Four Lions Band and would soon be holding shows in Masvingo.
