The Red Cross of Angola (CVA) is holding, as from the second fortnight of June, a campaign of information and sensitisation on HIV/AIDS, designed to prevent people from various ways of transmitting this disease.

ANGOP learnt of the information on Monday from the director general for the cooperation and development area of CVA, Leonardo Bondo, who explained that the project counts on the collaboration of the Red Cross of Germany and of the Angolan Health Ministry.

The campaign consists in the sensitising of the population, distribution of condoms, information material and is part of the project of "Partnerships for the reduction of the impact of HIV/AIDS in rural areas".

The campaign covers all districts of Cunene.
