Emphatic dance moves, expressive dance groups and a passionate though not-so friendly crowd is what would describe Pilsner Lager's Passa Passa dance hall fest at E-spana club in Malaba last Saturday.

Arguably the most competitive regional dance off so far according UBL regional manager Julius Kagimu, the fest attracted a number of dance groups. The Mbale based Gladiators emerged winners after battling head-on with Ronnie's Base Crew.

They took home a new Sony boom box and shopping vouchers to boutiques. The gladiators will also represent Malaba later on in Kampala in the final dance-off. It meant more than winning to them.

"How else would we have ever gone out of Mbale!" Ibrahim Mafabi the group's lead dancer confessed.
