Luanda — The governor of Luanda Province, Francisca do Espírito Santo, Thursday here met with a group of youths belonging to the United Methodist Church, with a view to discussing partnership projects that employ youths in socially useful activities.
During the meeting, the youths laid out their projects on civic education, assistance to shelter centres for children and senior citizens. They also studied the possibility to expand the sports activity in the locality.
The youths, led by the director-general Hochai Adriano, presented the project "Pão da Vida" (life bread), among other programmes, along with 90 activists who will explain to other youths the importance of the national symbols and holding moral and civic education campaigns.
One project that deserved the governor's attention is "Roda Jovem", whose goal is to work together with the communities in promoting cultural activities like theatre, poetry and music shows.
At the end of the meeting the governor hailed the youths' availability to work with the government in social action programmes, being implemented by the provincial executive.
