Angola: Malanje - Governor Wants Teachers to Get Salaries Through Bank

3 July 2008

Malanje — The governor of northern Malanje province, Cristóvão da Cunha, reiterated Wednesday the need for the region's teachers to open bank accounts from where they can get their monthly salaries.

The provincial governor who was speaking at the celebration act of the 23rd anniversary of Association of Angolan Teachers (APA) said that this move is advantageous because it will enable them to get bank loans to build their houses and buy vehicles.

In order to achieve this wish, he advised the teachers to be organised, so that the government can negotiate with banks for the granting of loans.

He said that it will also facilitate the control of number of teachers in the province.
