Uganda: Six Copa Tournament Soccer Stars Earn Trip to Tour Brazil

Kampala — A select team of six teenagers who excelled at the national schools soccer championship in May will start a training tour of Brazil on Sunday.

The team was picked by coaches Mike Mutebi and Badru Kaddu from over 1500 players. Sixty two schools took part in the Coca Cola-sponsored COPA National Schools Cup in Arua.

The team to be led by Coca Cola official Kennedy Mutenyo, includes the tournament's top scorer Paddy Akugizibwe (Masaka SS) and the most valuable player Godfrey Buni of Mehta SS. Others are Kizito Luwaga,19, of champions St. Mary's Kitende, Abel Eturudde, 16, (Mvara SS), Robert Magomu, 18, (Nabumali High) and Ceaser Sapeo, 19 ( Tororo Progressive).

They will have a training stint with famous coach Carlos Alberto Parreira.
