Kakindo and Kasambya sub-counties in Kibaale district have received a sanitation project worth sh305m.

Boreholes, water tanks and spring wells were constructed under the project that was funded by Korea International Cooperation Agency, Anyang East Rotary Club and the World Vision (South Korea).

Jeehea Chung of the World Vision said the programme was aimed at improving safe water coverage in villages.

He made the remarks while handing over the facilities to the beneficiaries at Kakindo sub-county headquarters on Thursday.

According to Chung, the project will benefit over 37,000 people in 117 villages in the two sub-counties.
