Nigeria: NDE Begins Training of 100 Persons

Abuja — The National Directorate of Employment (NDE), FCT Chapter, has, begin training of over 100 people in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), under the Basic Business Training (BBT) programme.

Addressing the trainees yesterday at the Government Secondary, school zone 4, Tudun Wada, the Coordinator, Hajiya Hadiza Yarima Bulama, urged the participants to commit themselves to the programme and learn trade that would help them and their families.

According to her, "NDE has been training a lot of people who are now doing well in their various endeavours. This programme is designed for people like you, especially those of you who have interest in business management. Since we have been training people NDE have never chosen who to train. And since you are here, take advantage of this opportunity and learn well, because after this training we have to settle you in order to face the challenges of life". Bulama stated.

According to her, over 100 who would be trained in areas like planning, budgeting, production marketing catering, GSM and computer repairs while the ages of 20 and 45 would be given loans in order to establish their various businesses.

Bulama, however, reiterated NDE's commitment to commence the training of people on solar energy which according to her would help the country from experiencing a total blackout.

Speaking to LEADERSHIP, one of the trainees, Asita Emmanuel, thanked the management of NDE for initiating programmes that would help them to be productive. Calling on the Federal Government to give total support to NDE.
