At least 37 cattle-raising co-operatives from the six districts of the southern Cunene province received micro-credits, since early this year, granted by the Savings and Credit Bank (BPC), ANGOP learnt.

This fact was revealed by the deputy chairperson of the National Union of Angolan Farmers' Association (UNACA) in Cunene, António Ndumbo Mutiko, having added that each co-operative, with about four to seven farmers, received USD 1,500 that can be reimbursed.

Under these credits, cattle-breeding works have been carried out in the districts of Namacunde, Curoco, Kahama, Kwanhama, Cuvelai and Ombadja.
