Angola: Football/Fifa Rankings - Angola Plunge to 61st

Angolan men's football team dropped from the 55th to the 61st place of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) rankings, now with 507 points, states a July standings of the world soccer motherboard.

Spain, which recently won the European Championship, for the first time topped the rankings with 1,557 points, followed by Italy 1,404 and Germany 1,364.

However, from the teams of the group 3 qualifier to the World Cup and African Nations Cup in 2010, in South Africa and Angola, respectively, Angola is better best placed than others of the group in the FIFA rankings. Uganda lies in second in the 97th position with 370 points.

Group leaders Benin are in the 99th with 361 points, whilst Niger occupies the 172nd position with 74 points.
