Sierra Leone: Iranian Ambassador Presents Credentials to President Koroma

Newly-designated ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Sierra Leone has presented his credentials to President Ernest Bai Koroma.

Dr. Nostratollah Maleki informed the president that Iran will continue to promote the relationship between the two countries.

"I am confident of the cooperation between the two countries," he said.

President Koroma informed the new ambassador that his presence would serve as a catalyst to further strengthen the bond of friendship and pledged his administration's support.

"The task you are about to take is noble. I want to assure you of my government's support and cooperation at any time," he pledged.

He said the two countries share the same view on peace and stability in the world and the empowerment of countries to access benefits in an equitable manner.

President Koroma said as member states of Conference of Islamic States, they adopt the principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity of all states adding that his government is committed to maintaining international peace and security.
