Officials of the ruling Togolese People's Rally (RPT) Thursday paid tribute to the party's administrative ex-secretary and former minister Yao Kunalé Eklo, during a ceremony witnessed by several supporters and well-wishers in the Convention Palace here.

Eklo, who died 4 June at the age of 77, will be buried on Saturday in his home town in the Plateaux region.

He was among the most loyal aides to Togo's former President Gnassingbé Eyadéma.
