The Founder and leader of the newly formed New Vision Party (NVP), Prophet Daniel Yaw Nkansah, has identified poor leadership as the reason why Ghanaians have been impoverished and made to suffer economic woes. According to him, the current crop of leaders in the country has done nothing good to boast of.

He accused political leadership of lacking vision and God's directions in dealing with the problems affecting the development of the country. "How could a low minded leader, who lacks vision and direction of God, bring accelerated development to the people of this country", he enquired.

He made the remarks at the inauguration of the Eastern Regional Executives of the party in Koforidua, last Thursday.

Speaking to the 17 member Regional Executive committee, Prophet Nkansah appealed to Ghanaians to stop questioning why he (a pastor) should enter into active politics.

To him, if any Ghanaian has any question to ask about his position as a politician instead of concentrating on his call from God, then that person would be questioning God's own infinite wisdom.

Prophet Daniel Yaw Nkansah is of the opinion that, since it was God himself who has called him to lead his people out of their political bondage and plight, then he had no other option than to do the will of God.

He likened his situation to that of Biblical Moses who was called to lead the people of Israel from the land of Egypt, and so has he also been called to lead the people of Ghana from "this low minded and visionless administration".

The Prophet, sounding over confident, also claimed that he would resign from his position as a Pastor, if his party failed to win the December elections.

He made this remarks when the media present at the ceremony inquired about his level of confidence in the forth coming December elections.

He indicated that the party has been anointed by God to fulfil Ghana's destiny, and Ghanaians will be taken by surprise when the NVP finally wins the elections.
