Nigeria: JAMB to Post UME Result Slips On Internet From July 16

Abuja — Universities Matriculation Examination (UME) result slips will be posted on the Internet from July 16 for candidates preparing for the Post-UME test.

Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, the JAMB registrar, made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) yesterday in Abuja.

He said that was to enable candidates take the result slips to the universities for the test.

NAN reports that successful candidates in the 2008/2009 UME are expected to sit for the Post-UME test before they are admitted into the universities.

Ojerinde said the names of candidates who met the 170 cut-off mark would be placed on the Internet for consideration into their first choice universities.

His words: "The names of successful candidates for their second and third choice institutions would be hosted on the net at a later date," he added.

Ojerinde said for candidates to get a printout of their results, they have to use the scratch card used in checking their results if the cards have not been used five times.

"Those who have lost their cards should buy fresh cards and use them to check and print out their results.

"The web sites are Afribank site named "Jambite"; Fleet Technology site entitled "Jamb-online" and Socket Works with the title, "My JAMB Results."
