Senafe

The Administrator of the Southern region, Mr. Mustafa Nurhusein, called on the inhabitants of Senafe sub-zone to step up their contribution in the ongoing national development drive.

In a meeting with representatives of the people, administrators and village elders, he indicated that the necessary preparations are underway to cultivate over 1,000 hectares with wheat and another over 500 hectares with barely.

Expressing conviction that the current socio-economic temporary problems would be tackled through the coordinated endeavors of the people and the Government, Mr. Mustafa explained that the construction of a hospital in Senafe town at a cost of more than 50 million Nakfa would play major role in upgrading health services in the area.

The director general of infrastructure development in the region, Mr. Rezene Fiseha, on his part pointed out that the inhabitants of 11 villages in the sub-zone have secured access to potable water supply as a result of the newly implemented projects at an expenditure of over 5 million Nakfa. There are also plans to implement similar projects in the remaining villages of the sub-zone, he added.
