Following several attempts by men of the under world to burgle the headquarters of the National Agency for Space and Research Development Area (NASRDA), located along the Abuja Airport road, the agency has beefed up security to safeguard lives and property.

A recent visit to the agency revealed that the services of various security agencies such as Army, Police, and NSCDC have been employed to ensure that adequate security is maintained in the area. The extrance to the office which used to serve as a bus stop for Pykassa residents now have security officers whose responsibility is to ensure that no car stops in front of it.

Our reporter gathered that the development was sequel to a recent attack by armed robbers, who held the security guard on night duty hostage, demanding for the release of the government keys in his possession which he refused to release and was subsequently beaten to a state of coma.

LEADERSHIP also scooped that it took the timely intervention of other security agents to abate the situation which lasted for close to an hour before taking the victim to the hospital where he is currently receiving treatment.
