Eritrea: Micro-Dam Being Constructed in Areza Sub-Zone

Areza — A micro-dam is under construction in the Adi-Gireto administrative area, Areza sub-zone, at a cost of about 5 million Nakfa.

The branch head of the Ministry of Agriculture in the sub-zone, Mr. Neguse Woldemchael, said that the task is being undertaken through Bidho Construction Company and that 90% of the project has been implemented. Once the construction of the micro-dam is finalized, it would provide better potable water supply to the inhabitants of Geza-Hidru, Maikaku, Adi-Gendefer, Mai-Menguda and Adi-Gireto, he added.

Reports indicated that the local inhabitants are taking active participation in the undertaking.
