He recalls that the first national bureau of the Order was put in place on 2001, with the pioneer National President being Omar Senze, who served a three-year mandate. The present bureau headed by Jerome Obi Eta, was elected in January 2008, for a three-year mandate.
Bara as well stated that the Order has one representative in each of the 10 provinces of Cameroon. The representatives are based in the provincial headquarters of their different provinces.
Bara also explained that the National Order of Civil Engineers, among other things, strives to remind State authorities and supervisors of civil engineering projects of the necessity to respect the Law related to the practice of the civil engineering profession.
This means that only professionally competent persons should be allowed to do the delicate job of civil engineering.
