Angola: Foreign Minister Tours South-American Countries

The Foreign Affairs minister of Angola, João Miranda will pay visits from July 10 to 19 to the Republics of Chile, Paraguay and Brazil, in the framework of the reinforcement of cooperation with these South American countries.
ANGOP learnt this Tuesday from a note of the governmental institution that in Chile, the official foresees to sign agreements linked to the creation of the Angolan-Chilean Joint Commission, trade and general cooperation relations, respectively.
Afterwards, the Angolan delegation shall head to Paraguay, where they will sign a general cooperation accord and a memorandum of understanding on the consultations between both Foreign Affairs Ministries.
In Brazil, last stage of visit, João Miranda and his counterpart Celso Amorim shall lead the respective delegations to the bilateral talks.
The agenda includes discussion on matters concerning the boosting of the South-South cooperation, taking into account the omplementarity of the economic of both countries.
Issues relating to the South Atlantic Peace and Cooperation Zone (ZPCAS), chiefly the South Atlantic concept, its expansion to other Latin American States, lying on the same ocean and the implementation of the Luanda Action Programme will also be reviewed.
