Maputo
Angola's basketball team of 1º de Agosto Monday beat JBC of Zimbabwe by 64-40, in second round match of basketball tournament qualifier for the final phase of senior female African clubs championship cup, taking place in Mozambican capital, Maputo.
The Angolan team, coached by Raul Duarte, had no difficulties to defeat a team which has shown good performance during the game.
At the first half the Angolans were winning 29-24, during which they could add the advantage at the second half. The Angolan players Ângela Cardoso and Nacissela Maurício were considered the best scorers with 13 points each.
Tuesday afternoon the team will meet with "Ferroviário de Maputo" in the most attractive encounter of the third round.
