MOSES Kibet's outing in the World Junior championships in Bydgoszsc, Poland ended yesterday, after he failed to advance to the final of the 1500m.

Racing in heat 3, which was the fastest of the event, Kibet clocked three minutes 50.82 seconds to drop out of the contest. The best three in each heat, together with the three fastest times- which all came from heat 3, advanced to the final.

Action continues today with focus turning to Stephen Kiprotich in the 10000m event.

Kiprotich, whose time of 28:00.98 is good for a medal as it is the third best on paper, will be looking to run below 27:50.00 so that he joins Boniface Kiprop in the 10000m at the Beijing Olympic Games.
