The project of construction of a compound to accommodate ex-combatants in the district of Viana, outskirts of Luanda, was on Tuesday presented to the head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos.

Called "Kussanguluka", the project comprises the construction of 860 T-3 type houses.

Speaking to the press, Jorge Mangueira, one of the officials responsible for the project, said basic infrastructures works have already started.

As part of the infield work, the head of State visited the high density suburb of Sambizanga, where he chaired a meeting that discussed matters concerning the improvement of the residents's living.

The meeting discussed, among other issues, the re-qualification of the communes of Sambizanga and Ngola Kiluanji.
