Lagos — Movement for the Return of Peace to Rivers State, yesterday said except leaders come together and work for peace, it might be difficult to achieve peace in the state.

The group said having watched carefully, proceedings at the Rivers State Truth and Reconciliation Commission, chaired by the eminent jurist, Justice Kayode Esho, "we are using the presentation of Chief Magnus Ngei Abe, Secretary to Rivers State Government (SSG), as a guide.

"We adopted his presentation, because whereas some of our leaders came to the Commission to grandstand, the SSG's presentation appears to have set a very good tone for the actualisation of peace in the state," it said.

The group said the presentation appears to be the most far- reaching in intent and sincerity, aimed at fashioning out a roadmap for peace in Rivers State.
