Air Uganda, the country's newest airline, has today announced the suspension of the morning flights out of Entebbe to Nairobi, and vise versa.
The move is part of the airline's cost cutting measure brought about by rising oil prices and a decline in passenger travels. "With immediate effect, Air Uganda announces the suspension of its morning flights out of Entebbe International Airport to Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and vice versa," noted a release from the airline. The statement goes on to note that "the decision has been motivated by the continuous increase in fuel prices coupled with flying an aircraft with a 99 seat capacity in the face of a dwindling fall in the number of passengers flying from Entebbe to Nairobi and from Nairobi to Entebbe in the morning."
