Artists under the auspices of the Pan African Association of writers and the African Institute Committee for the return of Morocco to the African Union (AU) have started a campaign for the return of Morocco to the AU. The leader of the group, Professor Atukwei Okai from Ghana along with Ambassador Silcarneyni Gueye from Senegal as well Dr. Wale Okediran from the Association of Nigerian Authors paid a courtesy call on the Director General of the National Gallery of Arts, Chief Joe Musa.
In his remarks, Prof. Okai commended Nigeria, saying, "Africa's status is very clear because she can boast of assets, several assets including Nigeria. If you want to put your mind to examine all at South Africa, yes South Africa benefited extensively from the principal position and support of Nigeria." He went on to buttress his point. "For us to make sense of these our groanings, we need to come together like they have come together in the European Union, like they have recently come together in South America and are thinking of one currency and like they are doing in China, India and the United States of America. When we have come together as a family to decipher ways of solving our problems and helping ourselves to grow, one member of the family suddenly walks out in anger and has been away for almost 30 years now. We have now come to a point where we are seriously trying to work things out to become a united continent because it is in our interest and is very crucial." The team had visited Morocco three weeks ago and decided to come to Nigeria. In his words, "in African affairs, the role of Nigeria is outstanding." The committee after serious research decided that she must mobilise Africans towards a new state of affairs which will be impossible with one member outside. He backed this up by quoting the parable of the lost sheep and the shepherd leaving the 99 in search of that one lost sheep. On their visit to Morocco, they said to her, "we do not know what you think but we say you must come back into the African Union. The committee also went to Gabon where their initiative is well supported.
The committee has the mission to get as many people as possible to sign the declaration. They came to Nigeria to seek her understanding for the mission because when Africa is ready to stand as one, nobody on earth can rival her act. Prof. Okai concluded by saying, "this is nothing but God's own way of externally exhibiting the grandeur of the state. They also plan on visiting Ethiopia, South Africa, Libya and Algeria.
In his response, Joe Musa said in this era when major political blocks like the European Union are consolidating their unity, it is a welcome development that a group of committed African scholars and patriots are thinking of bringing Morocco back to the African Union. He pledged that the National Gallery of Art will make her staff available to the group anytime the need arises. He rounded off by quoting the African adage which says that a stick of broom cannot do a thorough job of sweeping but a whole bunch will do it good and nice.

My brother, or sister to whom that wrote the above statement. I must say this, please bear in mind that a/an black sheep of a family will sometimes break or fragile that particular family. Africa is Africa and should always be like that; let's please remember that. And secondly, please read the geography of Europe very well before you qouted in your words that, the North Africans aren't indigenous to the African Continent. Remember the queens and kings of Egypt? Remember the Nubian of the Sahara Desert? Remember the rapid migration of the Ethopians to far away places like Egypt… [Read Full Text]
Black African nations have to discard slave mentality. First, THERE HAS TO BE UNITY AND THE CREATION OF LARGE SUPER-STATES IN AFRICA, COMPOSED OF MAJORITY BLACK AFRICAN NEGRO PEOPLE, WHO STAND FOR PRESERVING AFRICAN CULTURE, AFRICAN PEOPLE AND AFRICAN LAND.
Secondly, the nations of North Africa are composed of people who are NOT INDIGENOUS TO THE AFRICAN CONTINENT, and are therefore settlers on African soil, in the same way that Europeans are settlers on American soil.
Thirdly, why is Morocco so quick to mow down Africna s and carry out the same type of behavior that the Jewish state carries… [Read Full Text]
