The police in Jos are yet to unravel the mystery behind the death of Engineer Musa Isa Umar, the Business Manager of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) in Jos who was shot dead on Friday June 27, by unknown gun men.

Umar took over as the Business Manger of the Jos Business District two weeks before he was gunned down.

Source said the killing might not be unconnected with his anti-corruption fight which the source said made popular among the staff.

Reports say Umar was shot at about 8 pm at the Hill Station Hotel Junction in Jos when a group of unidentified gun men opened fire on him led to his instant death after sustaining serious injuries from the attack.

The public relation officer of PHCN, in Plateau, Mrs.Dina Ojokojo who confirmed the incident said, there was nothing much she could reveal since the police are investigating the case.

As at the time of filing this report, efforts to contact the police public relation officer proved abortive.
