Harare — SMALL-SCALE miners have called on the Government to intervene and regulate fees charged by consultant companies that carry out Environmental Impact Assessments, a prerequisite for granting a mining licence to small scale miners.
Zimbabwe Panners' Association president Evans Ruzvidzo said environment consultant companies were charging exorbitant fees, which most small-scale miners could not afford.
