Harare — Despite the huge popularity of soccer in Zimbabwe the clubs are a lot poorer than they should be and far too reliant on gate takings, as the present problems over minimum ticket prices show.
Last week one club tried out $100 billion for the rest of the ground, and had a lot of empty seats as a result. The Dynamos-Highlanders game in Bulawayo yesterday, perhaps the top club clash of the season, had a far more realistic $50 billion for the rest of the ground.
