Luanda — Angola's Juventude de Viana club won on Sunday the 2nd African Clubs Roller Hockey Championship, after a three-goal draw with local Petro de Luanda team, in the last round match of the competition played at Cidadela pavilion.
By halftime, Juventude was ahead by 2-1.
The two Angolan teams entered the match unbeatable and had already qualified to the next World Cup, to be held next September in the city of Reus, Spain.
Although both teams drew, Juventude benefited from a better goal average.
The standings table was completed in the following manner; Desportivo (nine), ACP and Ferroviário (four each) and União de Pretória (without a point).
Juventude dethrones Mozambique's Estrela Vermelha de Maputo, winner of the first edition, held in 1991 in Egypt.
