In a bid to get closer to the people, ProCredit Bank Saturday joined motor bike 'Okada' riders association to clean Black Hall Road in the east of Freetown.
Kissy branch manager of ProCredit, Andre Radloff said they decided to join the bike riders for the cleaning as part of the bank's corporate social responsibility.
"We believe in giving back to the people," he said adding that as a banking institution in the country, they have the responsibility of educating people about what they are doing adding that they supported the cleaning exercise to sell the bank's activities to the people.
Radloff said they have embarked on sensitizing students on the importance of savings and also allaying their fears about the bank.
"We want to interact with the people. It is our responsibility to keep their money," he said adding "We want the people to have trust in what we are doing." Banking service coordinator, Mohamed Munu said part of their corporate responsibility is to ensure that the environment is clean. "We are not here to fool the people. We are determined to bring banking activities right down to the grassroots' people," he said.
