Winner of the July 5 local council elections in ward 333 Constituency 93 in Goderich Friday told Concord Times that he was ready to improve his community.
Ibrahim Kabba aka "Small Borbor" of the opposition Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP) said his community people will soon start getting the basic needs they had long been waiting for.
"I will bring new projects that will improve the lives of everybody in this community," he said adding that he will work with everybody in his community regardless of their political affiliation.
"As a councilor, I will ensure that revenue coming for the community will be properly utilized for the benefit of the people." Kabba said the community has sand and stones to build houses so if revenue coming from their sales is put together, the community will be improved in a very short time.
He pledged to work with young people and ensure that they are well educated. "We need schools and adult literacy classes in this community," he said.
Community youth adviser, Alfred Bockarie said the community lacks many things which previous politicians in the community have promised to deliver without success.
"We hope Small Borbor is not going to treat us like they did," he said.
Community vice chairlady, Famata Bangura, said Small Borbor is a leader who is expected to bring development to the community.
