The Angolan delegation that is in Australia to participate in the World Events of the Catholic Youths is to leave on Monday for Sidney, where Pope BenedictXVI will meet with about 5,000 pilgrims from 100 nations, ANGOP has learnt.

The Angolan team comprises 43 delegates and is being led by the chairperson of the Episcopal Commission for Angola and Sao Tome and Principe Youths, bishop Dom Almeida Canda.

They are accommodated in residences of Catholic families in Adelaide, a city in a state located some 1,200 kilometres off Sidney.

In Adelaide, the Angolans participated in various leisure, social, religious and cultural activities organised by the local community, an opportunity that served to divulge the country's culture.
