Kenya: Millward Brown's Entry Set to Make a Difference

Last October Millward Brown, a global leader in marketing research, announced plans to enter the Kenyan market via a joint venture with Scangroup which owns 49 per cent of the new company.

Millward Brown is a member of the WPP Group and is recognised as a leading authority in brand, media and communications research.

One of its key competitors in Kenya, Research International, is also a member of the worldwide marketing services group, as is the Ogilvy Group and AY&R, which are Scangroup's key competitors.

Millward Brown East Africa Limited recently had its formal launch and Tim Smyth, the managing director, spoke to Business daily about his plans for the Kenyan market.
